Dell Print Assured – Reliability Refund Guarantee: Terms and Conditions
- The Dell Assured – Reliability Refund Guarantee is valid on qualifying Dell printers as set out here Qualifying Products must be registered within 30 days from the date of receipt or invoice (receipt or invoice date being counted as day one). Refund claims can then be made within 12 months of the date of customer receipt for or invoice of the Qualifying Product.
- Subject to these terms and conditions, if you purchase a Qualifying Product, and it develops a technical fault within 12 (consecutive) months of purchase (starting on the date of receipt by or invoice to the customer), Dell will refund the Purchase Price of the printer (as shown in the receipt / invoice) to you (excluding shipping, etc., see condition 20), provided you have registered your printer on the promotional website (www.dellprinterdeals.com).
- This Promotion does not affect the Qualifying Product warranty or your statutory rights but provides an additional assurance that a refund will be provided if there is any technical fault with the printer (as set out herein) within 12 months from purchase.
- The promoter reserves the right to withdraw or amend the promotion without notice.
- If you believe that your Qualifying Product has developed a technical fault (see condition 15) within 12 months of purchase, you must follow the claims process to validate your claim and receive your refund.
- The refund will not exceed the list price of the current printer without options as shown on dell.com.
- Please note the following limitations and exclusions applying to this Promotion: This Promotion is:
- Open only to end-users, businesses and organisations in the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland.
- Open only to end-users, businesses and organisations, who must be the owners of the Qualifying Products to register them for the Promotion. This Promotion is not open to distributors, resellers, retailers, e-sellers and other sellers and suppliers of Dell printers and Resellers may not register a Reliability Refund Guarantee on behalf of their customers.
- This Promotion does not apply to any accessories, peripherals, software, options or other applications purchased with or for the printer.
- Claims are limited to one (1) claim per printer purchase. No more than 10 claims per customer or household (based on postal address) during any 3 month period.
- This Promotion does not apply to printers which are or have been the subject of a product recall.
- The promotion is valid in respect of Qualifying Products purchased either directly from Dell or an authorised reseller or authorised retailer of Dell printers. This offer only applies to products classified as new. Items bought from eBay, any Auction Sites, via personal ads, or refurbished equipment do not qualify.
- To make a claim, please visit www.dellprinterdeals.com. Click on the Dell Print Assured Reliability Refund link and register your printer, by fully completing the on-line registration process to obtain your Dell Print Assured registration number. Your registration details will be sent to you by email after registration- please retain this.
- If multiple printers are purchased, each must be registered individually to allow for claim (if applicable) at a later date.
- If you register your Dell printer and you believe that the printer has developed a technical fault within one year of purchase, you must (1) call 0844 338 1200 to report the fault, confirm your technical fault code and the confirmed nature of your technical fault, and (2) within 14 days of the date of your call to report the fault, re-visit the site www.dellprinterdeals.com and go to the “claims” area. You will require the following documents/items to complete your claim (when requested, scanned or uploaded or sent by post to the address below):
- Your Qualifying Product registration reference number, which you should have retained when you registered your printer;
- The original proof of purchase (receipt/invoice), clearly showing the purchase details of the printer and date;
- The technical fault code, the nature of your technical fault and the date reported.
- Upload of repair receipt from engineer
- We advise that documents be sent by recorded delivery and to retain a copy for your records. The promoter reserves the right to disqualify incomplete, altered or illegible claims. No responsibility will be accepted for submissions which have been lost, or are late, damaged, misdirected, delayed in the post or insufficiently pre-stamped. All documentation submitted for this promotion becomes property of Dell and will not be returned. Submission of false, incorrect, misleading or fraudulent documentation may result in disqualification from this promotion and future Dell promotions.
- The promoter is not responsible or liable for any technical, hardware, software, server, website, or other failures or damage of any kind to the extent that this prevents the customer from or otherwise obstructs him/her in participating in the promotion.
- Your claim will not be valid unless you first call the technical fault telephone number above. Your claim will not be valid if you have the printer repaired before calling Dell technical support.
- Your claim will be verified by telephone. Technical fault means a technical fault with the physical hardware and software of the printer, expressly excluding the following:
- Case cracks and broken plastics;
- Display panels containing only a small number of pixels that have failed;
- Physical damage such as broken keys, smashed display and liquid spillages;
- System configuration issues;
- Infection by virus or other malware;
- Mains/power adaptors, lack of power or misloading of paper; and
- Damage caused by the end-user, whether accidental, through misuse or abuse or otherwise
- Dell does not accept responsibility for the collection, disposal or repair of any mal-functioning printer, which remains the property of the customer.
- The instructions contained within the promotional website and the published process form part of the terms and conditions of the offer.
- The promoter reserves the right to closely monitor usage of the promotional website, including users’ IP addresses, so that we may identify misuse, and disqualify applications if we have reason to believe the terms of the promotion have been breached.
- The promotion is not transferrable to another individual or business, registration and claims will only be accepted by the original purchaser.
- Purchase Price to be refunded means the price paid for the printer, excluding delivery and any handling charges and the price of any accessories, peripherals, software, options or other applications purchased with or for the printer. VAT is excluded for VAT-registered businesses.
- This Promotion does not apply to (and claims will not be accepted for) faults or damage caused by external influence, such as (without limitation) damage caused during transit. If you receive a printer that is subject to such faults or damage, you must immediately return it to your seller. The replacement printer that you receive may then be registered for this Promotion.
- DOA (dead on arrival) machines are not covered under the terms of this Promotion, please contact your seller.
- This Promotion is not open to employees of Dell (or their families), to any Dell authorised resellers and distributors (or their employees or families), or to anyone connected professionally with this Promotion.
- Only original and not photocopied proof of purchase or receipts will be accepted.
- Leased printers do not qualify for this Promotion.
- The offer does not apply to any Dell printers given away as a gift or sold as part of any bundle.
- Dell will be responsible for the cost of sending the refund to you, but you will be responsible for all other costs and expenses associated with the claims/refunds process.
- Dell does not warrant that your access to or use of the Promotion web site will be uninterrupted, error-free or virus-free. Neither Dell nor its licensors or suppliers will be responsible or liable for damage or losses caused by hostile software which may affect or infect your computer equipment or property, as a result of your browsing or use of the Promotion web site.
- All Dell Print Assured Reliability Refund claim applications will be screened to ensure that no printers are or have been returned by the end-user or businesses /organisation between registration and claim. Claims will be invalid in respect of Qualifying Products that have been returned.
- To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event will Dell be liable for any losses or damages whatsoever (including direct or indirect damages, loss of business profits, lost savings or other special, incidental, exemplary or consequential damages whether for breach of warranty, contract, strict liability, tort or otherwise) arising out of or in connection with this Promotion.
- Failure by Dell to enforce any provision of these terms in whole or in part will not constitute a waiver, or affect Dell’s right to require the future performance in full thereof, nor shall Dell’s waiver of any breach of any provision of these terms constitute a waiver of any subsequent breach or nullify the effectiveness of any such provision.
- The decisions of Dell in respect of any and all aspects of the promotion will be final and binding.
- If any provision of these terms is be found by any court, tribunal or administrative body of competent jurisdiction to be illegal, invalid or otherwise unenforceable, such illegality, invalidity or unenforceability will not affect the remaining provisions, which will remain in full force and effect.
- This Promotion and these terms will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England, and each party irrevocably agrees to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts in relation to all claims arising out of or in connection with this Promotion and these terms.
